iPad OK to use the iTouch5 Lightening Cable to charge iPad4?

Instead of having two lightening cables I'd like to use only one. Are they the same?
I ask, as it is taking awhile to charge my iPad4 past 91%.

Yes they are the same and there should be no harm or damage done to your device.

Yes. But it will charge slowly as you are experiencing. It's made for a 12 watt charger. You are using a 5 watt.
