Beagle Bros. software? (I know, not Mac, but still Apple).

Or Sublogic Flight Simulator A2FS2 -- on cassette? (One more reason I despise Microsoft and all it stands for)

Bonus points to anyone that can explain my entries WITHOUT googling them...

Post your own distant software memories. It's fun for the whole family!

How far back? "Star Trek" or "Adventure" on a DEC LSI-11?

But, for Mac - how 'bout "Crystal Quest". BLEM!

edit: oh yea - "Dark Castle". Had great monochrome graphics and sound fx.

I swear I'll beat Dark Castle one of these days, as soon as I put a "new" hard drive in my Mac SE. I never owned Crystal Quest, but I put some time in on it on other people's computers back in the day.

Check out "vMac" - it's a MacPlus Emulator. It's PPC, but runs just fine in Rosetta. Dark Castle will run on it. Just played a nostalgic game of Crystal Quest on my MBP C2D - and lost, as usual...

ah, fond memories of old mac software. after dark and flying toasters. i do remember crystal quest and a quirky tetris (randolph cook?).

Hey!

Those who remember Dark Castle will want to hear this... the sequel to the original games has finally been completed after over 10 years. It will be called Return to Dark Castle. I have started a topic about it that contains a website where you can download the game as soon as it is available for download, probably at the end of the month. It will contain all the levels from the original Dark Castle and Beyond Dark Castle, as well as over 50 new levels.

Ah, yes, Beagle Brothers! Good stuff.

Remember the poster they published with all the fun memory addresses on the Apple IIs? Fun things to PEEK and POKE at.

Look, I can make the floppy drive spin for no reason right from the command line... :p
