old 2.4 GHz vs. new 2.0 GHz:what is impact of bus on speed?

Benchmarks done by Macworld show the speedmark 5 of the 2.0 glassbook is 195 compared to 190 for the 2.4 whitebook.
The glassbook is speculated to have more of an advantage with its more capable graphics system when snow leopard comes out in '09. Snow Leopard 10.6 is expected to take full advantage of the new GPU.

That was a very limited benchmark test.

I've wondered this too. My friend has a 2.4 whitebook and I've got a new 2.0 aluminum. I'll put them together and run some "real-world" tests and let you know the results.

My friend has the new alu 2.0 one and I have the 2.4 black Macbook. He upgraded to the 4GB and I have 4GB's in mine. Almost every "test" we did mine was a little faster. Not everything, but on most things. His is fast though. We just did it for fun. Both are great.
