So my boss is having problems with his iTunes setup. Apparently there are a bunch (read 2000+) songs that were purchased back in 2006 using an account that their family no longer uses.

I think that this is what happened:
    1. Bought songs in '06 on "Account 1"
    2. Changed ISPs, lost e-mail address associated with "Account 1"
    3. Made NEW iTunes account, "Account 2" using new e-mail address
    4. Started buying songs on "Account 2".

So now they are migrating to a new PC and they can't deauthorize the songs on Account 1 OR authorize the songs on the new machine because they don't have the password for Account 1 and can't reset it because the e-mail address is no longer valid.

What do they do? I was thinking about using DoubleTwist to strip all the DRM off of the songs in question but I think that you need to have already authorized the songs to play, right?
