Old Digidesign Mbox2 pro to new iMac

Hi. Just bought a 27 inch 2012 imac and i'm trying to figure out how I can connect my old Mbox2 pro, that uses firewire 400, to the new imac. I'm thinking the only way is to buy the Apple Thunderbolt/Firewire 800 adapter and then get a Firewire 800/Firewire 400 cable to complete the connection. Will this work?

This should work just fine since the Mbox2 Pro is AC powered so it won't need bus power from the Thunderbolt port.
