IMHO I think the new gold is a little bit retro which further limits the choice of bands.

The safest choice will be silver/black for a more neutral color, as in Singapore we can't have the SS nor Edition just because we're not getting the LTE variants here.

My choice? It's gold cuz I'm an old fashioned lol

China and Japan aren't Asia enough for you?

I'm very sorry that I said wrongly before. I truly don't know if China and Japan has series 3 SS and Edition already. In Singapore they has only the sport and nike+ as the SS and Ceramic only has LTE and Apple still hasn't said anything about the LTE watch availability here.

I think I should do more research before saying something.

Yeah, I haven't search that far before. I'm truly sorry for that. I edited my post. Hope I don't insult anyone further again.
Once again, forgive me for my rushed comment.

Don't be silly, no need to apologise and I doubt anyone really took offence!

I'm lucky (or is that Apple) I live in one of the launch countries for most of their products.

Lucky you. I think it will be launched in all countries that have Apple Store actually, but it will take some times. Hopefully it's not too late, because if they do late, might as well hold until Series 4 comes out.

The more I look to this comparison, the more I love the new gold. I wonder if any future iDevice and MacBook will adopt this new hue to match the watch's hue.

Don't assume S4 will come out next year. Apart from iPhone, most Apple products are not on annual update cycles.

Of course not. The watch will see 1,5-2 years per cycle. But if the rollout is slow, it will be a lot nicer to hold onto S2 a little bit longer imho.

Just got my Series 3 - very, very disappointed in the new color. It's not even close to the old gold - I once again thought it was the rosé gold model, when I unwrapped it.
I will keep my Series 1, since GPS and the better waterproof rating would only be a nice to have feature and nothing I desperately need. But I'm not gonna spend money for a watch in a color that I don't like.

Don't blame you! I feel exactly the same except it was my first Watch so I am returning and have ordered the stainless steel with white silicone band. I have somehow managed to justify on the basis that will keep for at least 3 years before upgrading (no one quote me on that please) and since I haven't bought any of the Watches yet I have somehow saved money in the past lol!

Another disappointing factor is that I have a gold MacBook and champagne gold Beats and it doesn't match in.

Great choice, I would have probably done the same if I hadn’t had a Series 1 already.

I thought about this too. If you buy the latest iPhone, the latest Apple Watch and the latest MacBook in gold, you get three different shades of gold, that’s crazy. They should at least give them different names - gold, blush gold or whatever.

Thanks.

Am definitely a champagne kind of girl ;-)
