old imac and new imac help needed!

I want to connect those 2 imacs together, one is an old Imac, another is the newer one (with isign buildin rev), can i use some cable to connect them together so i can do stuff like file transferring?

Grab an ethernet cable. We'll need more information before giving you specifics though. What operating system do these Macs run?
