Old iMac G5 + 802.11n Aiport Express

Ive got an old imac g5 2.1ghz puter with the old 802.11b/g card connected to a few computers which have 802.11n, now is it possible that i speed this one up to 802.11n using a new airport express? Ive got the express connected via a cat5e cable, but i cant seem to get this to even connect to the interwebs with this 😕

Sys prefs says the cable is not even connected..

Any ideas?🙂
