old library iPhone pictures to new library?

How can I get my iPhone pictures to my new iMac? The photo's were synced with my PowerBook. I have set up it's now synced with my iMac, but I don't do photo's cause it will remove all from my iPhone and put on it what's in my iPhoto library.

I want my old photos on my iMac, then keep the photo libraries synced.

How?😕

It's not clear what you want to do. Why can't you just copy the pics from the PowerBook?
