Any Magsafe on any Apple laptop is fine, Magsafe has only 1 pinout and voltage. The differences are all in connector form factor and current capacity of the charger. Considering those are the same too (straight connector, 85w) I'd say yes, it will work flawlessly.

should be ok. I used my husband's (2007 black) macbook magsafe adapter to charge my new MBP last night and it worked fine

Thanks, my work has an old titanium style MBP thats never used so I figured I could use the charger on that and keep mine at home.

Magsafe chargers are technically interchangable. I use an old 15" MBP(1st gen) charger, Macbook chargers, and my new MBP charger all at different times with all of my Macbook line computers in my house with no ill effects.

I have also been mixing and matching between last gen 15" MBPs and my 13" MBP and it's fine.
