Old MobileMe rules

I have just transferred my old MobileMe to iCloud. Previously I had set up an Mobile me to retrieve email from an external POP account then delete from server. Now, iCloud follows this rule, but I can not turn it off as the old POP account does not appear in the iCloud settings. Apple said the rule should have been removed on transfer but it hasn't. as yet they can't resolve the issue. Any thoughts?
