So this behavior only happens with the Apple-created "My New Music Mix" but I can imagine it must happed with Favorites and Chill too. I just haven't seen that.
What happens is that I will from time to time go to the New Music Mix and find that it is stuck on a specific version of that mix from about a couple of months ago. Sometimes the preview thumbnails for that mix in the 'For You' area are old, sometimes they're current. When I'm getting the old version of the mix, force-quitting in iOS or closing iTunes doesn't work. I just seem to have to try again later.
I've even seen a situation where the mix appears to be correct (in that it's a list of all-new songs) but starting to play it causes it to play the old "stuck" mix.
I see this behavior on my iPhone, iPad, desktop iTunes and in my Sonos app. It's extra-maddening as the version of the mix that shows up is one that I particularly disliked.
Just now, I opened iTunes and the thumbnails show songs from the old mix, but selecting the playlist takes me to the current version of the list. It's a total headscratcher, and Google doesn't seem to find anyone else having this problem, although I may just be having trouble coming up with unique search terms.
