So, don't use I cloud at all. Don't want to use it.
Always have used iTunes. Have the new 11 software but the computer seems out of date thus I will not let me download the new version of iTunes. Any other way to do a transfer or mirror copy of the device?
Guessing iTunes loss support for some older windows version.

you can set up your new iPhone with your old one, just place them close together when prompted during setup.

Use iCloud. If you use an Apple ID it has 5GB of free iCloud space.

I wanted to take the cost saving route and utilize iTunes.
Plus I didn't want into stored in the cloud....
Don't see why they were not offering support for older versions of Windows....

You can delete the iCloud backup after you are done setting up the new iPhone.

Use another computer that has the latest iTunes installed.
Backup the old phone and then restore from backup.
