We're looking at getting a machine to run our visuals when we put events on, and our options have been either a macbook pro, a rackmounted mac pro, or a rackmounted pc.

Now as someone who hasn't used a PC for well over a decade, I'm a little against that.... We simply can't afford a new mac pro, and a macbook pro isn't upgradeable enough.

But we do have an old style mac pro lying around that would do the job for a few years. The problem is we need to tour with it, so ideally would like to put it in a hard protective touring case (rack) that we can easily set up at gigs etc...

Does anyone know of anything like this?

there used to be a kit that you cut the handles off and bolted on some rack rails. not i don't know if they still make the kit or cost. I think it was kind of pricy.
