No, I said it's not unhealthy to use a Mac portable on AC power with the battery fully charged. You don't have to unplug it as soon as it's charged, because it will not overcharge. It stops charging when it's full, even if it remains plugged in. Go back and read my posts. I always say it's not good to run exclusively on AC power, as the battery needs to be used to stay healthy. Read the Battery FAQ for details.
It won't overcharge, but just staying at the maximum voltage for extended periods reduces the lifespan. Just because it stops charging doesn't mean you're not doing damage.

Apple's FAQ is misleading. Electronics manufacturers want you to charge it to the maximum so that you're happy with the amount of time you get on a charge. And they have little incentive to have a battery last beyond the warranty period.

I've read all the information on that site years ago. Generic information from sources like batteryuniversity.com do not always apply to the specific battery and charging technology implemented by Apple. Apple is the most reliable source for information about Apple batteries. There is absolutely nothing damaging to a Mac notebook battery by running it on AC power after it's fully charged, as long as you unplug and run on battery power on a regular basis, to keep the battery electrons moving. You can safely run for hours or days at a time on AC power without harming your battery.

My battery did that twice on my 2006 17" MBP. Apple replaced it once during my warranty and once when it was 2 yrs out of warranty. So take it to the apple store and be nice and they will probably replace it for you.
