Hi. Is there any way to play older software (roller coaster tycoon) on Yosemite?
Well, if the game is a DOS game, you can use Dosbox. If it was Windows game from the PPC era game, you can use a Virtual Machine with XP or whatever installed and run it. Or use a Wine Wrapper to use it.
Search for Paul the Tall in Google, he has loads and loads of wrappers for old windows games.
it's actually a MAC game that stated that it was no longer supported when I tried to run it.
Roller Coster Tycoon is a windows game, so you could try that. Probably you will have to buy it again.
Apple's backwards compatibility is near enough non-existent. Older apps and games will not run like they can on Windows.
there was a MAC version that came out several years ago but not compatible with the current OS.
Could you tell us the exact message that you get when you try to run the game? Also could you tell us exactly how long ago this version came out?
