Would you like for Apple to make colors pop more on OLED iPhones?

I mean, Home Screen looks so dull, and I know Apple has done this intentionally, because they insist on colors being realistic. But why insist on this pedantry, when OLED is capable of more?

Me, personally, I love vividness, and I would like if Apple gave us option to choose between vividness and realism. When hard press on icon on Home Screen, you see in background how much brighter colors can be.

Pop!

Yep, it'll be boring and accurate P3 gamut from here til the end of time.

My 6 had a more vivid screen and nobody complained it was cartoonish.

I prefer the more accurate color space myself. I don't have a problem with them potentially having an option for more vibrant colors, as long as accurate is still an option as well.

I’m not really one for studying the screen quality on my iPhone to be honest. I don’t even care if i have OLED or LCD. If they want to improve the screen without ripping me off though I’m fine with that.

Samsung seems to be following the trend of higher priced phones too. The S10 got raised in price as well :(

It’s a lot cheaper than an iPhone XS in the UK at £799 for a 128GB version. The Plus model is much cheaper than an XS Max too and with higher storage tiers. Apple are milking it I think with prices and using things like OLED as their justification. Hopefully the downturn in sales and Samsung undercutting them we’ll see a much needed price cut come September.

Albeit that is true, but they also introduced another lower-cost form factor with the S10E as well. So in a sense, they did mitigate that by offering a cheaper option. The cost of technology coupled with R&D, over time, rising costs is almost expected now. Anyways, Samsung has a really nice OLED panel, but I don’t care for how the overcompensate for colors it seems.

I tried the S10 out at Verizon, it's nice but I was like "meh" lol. At least they allow you to try the phones out ahead of launch unlike Apple though lol.

Same here.

OLED is amazing for home theater... I love my 65". It absolutely destroys LCD especially in dark room viewing.

For my phone screen though I really don't care either way... I guess that's why I still have my 8 Plus and LCD.

I would normally agree with this, but I stare at my phone for many more hours than a television, that's why I went with OLED. He is correct though, it's overpriced.

I remember the first time I saw the Xs screen it was a VAST IMPROVEMENT over my iPhone 7 that I traded in in sharpness and clarity.

Apple has closed the gap with Samsung on it's screens. My Xs Max is good enough for me!!!

Not really a fan of the way colors pop on Samsung devices but I don’t hate it either. I wouldn’t mind an option to turn it on or off.

It’s not good enough, it’s the best you can buy on a mobile display! The color accuracy literally can’t get better to our eyes! sRGB or DCI-P3, perfect color accuracy and automatic color management.

If your OLED Display isn’t popping as you’d like, watch an HDR video on YouTube at max brightness with any LCD iPhone next to it. The colors will pop then!
