How about $2499 for OLED Pro Screen and $1999 with an all new "Liquid Fusion Pro Display, featuring Neural Pixels*"?

*new cost cutter LCD panel ... wolf in sheeps clothing

That would be TWO all-new displays and is way more than the folks at Apple can handle in one generation!

Touch screen laptops just aren't good UX.

Rumour has it it may feature a touchscreen (as we all read). IMO that rumour will be proven incorrect.

I may end up upgrading to the M5 Pro (whenever it comes out), and skip the OLED/Touchscreen non-sense.

Touch makes zero sense to add a touchscreen on a non-touch UI. The MacBook is not an iPad.

Touchscreens on a Mac make me nervous. I hope they give options to spec without at a lower base price.

I don't care about a touch screen... A $2500 "Pro" computer should not have a pathetic 512GB SSD in 2025.
