So I just picked up a 2017 15" MacBook Pro and had some time to play around with it. I find the touch bar so small that it's not really useful. I also find myself wishing that the physical F button controls were still there.
On the other hand, the force touch trackpad is obscenely large. How awesome would it be if they incorporated a OLED under the trackpad as if you've got a iPhone right where your trackpad is. The trackpad is certainly larger in size than a iPhone 7 plus and because it's force touch and not a physical button, they really could feasibly do something like that.
Oh the possibilities...
