It amazes me that people pay $80 for this, when there are nearly identical, and often time better, versions available for under $20.

Not the same... I make YouTube skateboarding videos so I need a fisheye and I've tried them all, magnet fisheye lenses, fake Chinese Olloclip, and real Olloclip. The opticals are different.

Magnet lenses pretty much suck, you have to stick a metal ring on your bare phone so the magnet can connect and you either keep that metal ring there all the time or take it off and risk it losing it's stickiness to the back of your phone.

Fake Chinese Olloclip, works ok if you don't care about the optics, I thought it made my iPhone pictures look like junk. The plastic lens literally fell apart in a couple months. (its comes in multiple pieces)

Real Olloclip, looks great, one solid piece, comes with pouch and I never worry about getting bad results with it.
Is it worth $80? No but that's what Christmas is for.

Like which ones? (Seriously)

Olloclip is pretty awesome man. I'm a commercial photographer and I can honestly say this is the best lens that I've found for an iPhone. They're built really well using glass NOT plastic for the lenses and getting a little wider or even using for macro is great. Not interested in the fisheye but not a big deal. Definitely buying this!

Do you want blurry photos? Because that's how you get blurry photos.

Or maybe you like the rainbow gradients on the edges of photos made with those cheap lenses?

Seriously, why would anyone pay $10 or $20 for a lens when they can get a higher-quality one for more money?

Dude, my Nikon lenses cost 2-3 Grand! $80? That's a stocking stuffer for family and friend! You get what you pay for bro!

Not interested until they have a telephoto. Or if someone comes out with a Nikon compatible SLR mount case, so I can borrow my girlfriend's lenses.

I'm currently not in the market for anything like this but if I were this would my go to cellphone lense kit for sure. I've always found myself checking these out for previous phones.

With a sensor the size of the one in the iPhone… well, I won’t say that’s impossible, but the lense would have to sit a huge distance away from the back of the phone. Like, several inches. And the photos probably wouldn’t look any better than what you get from these Olloclip lenses.

love the one i have for the 5S - shot a whole 1080p 'fish-eye' music video with it and it came out great, imo. people never expect to hear i shot it with my iPhone. definitely use it on and off - you kind of have to plan to shoot with it, not a spur of the moment thing, really. combine this with the iStabilizer tripod/mini dolly and you've got really small, portable production value in the medium-sized pocket of your backpack.

I assume you're referring to the SLR lens mount. It looks like you're right, but at the same time, big lenses already look like canons, so its NBD to me.

Ugh... I hate how I want this add on to an already glorious photo camera. Also I can't wait to see what sort of case they have to go along with this lens kit. Late November can't come any quicker!
