Yes, the O2 3G reception on the iPhone is awful. I used to get full 3G reception virtually everywhere on my old Sony Ericsson. Here's hoping that O2 can also tweak their network/increase power as I want to love O2 long time as well!

Knock on wood! Knock on wood! Knock on wood! Knock on wood! Knock on wood!

I can't believe my reception in my basement was non existent, now I have 5 bars 3G IN MY BASEMENT!!!!!! All over the house really.

This morning I woke up, went down to my study in the basement to sync my daily podcasts..then I realized I had full 5 bars.

For some reason, my phone used to drop 3G at my local gas station. (I've been testing this since 17th...) Today, FULL 5 BARS all over BALTIMORE COUNTY!!!!!

Since this morning, I haven't seen anything below 5 bars!!! WOW...

At&T I don't know what you did, but keep doing it pleaseeee!!!

So this proves, reception problems were AT&T's fault not iphone's....

ALSO, I used to get 300-500kb speed at best, now I am getting 1.2-1.5mb in the middle of the day....

how can reception improve 10 times when there only 5 bars max?

When I talked to AT&T CSR yesterday about my 3G reception, I was told that a new AT&T 3G tower will go on August 15th, and another one after on August 25th.

A total of 7 will go on by the end of the year in my area.

So hopefully the same happens with me.
