The CostCo is 140 off for the 128 G model. Bought one.

Congrats! I picked up a 128GB Air 2 last month at Staples, $150 off. Some great bargains floating around.
Just ordered a Silver 64GB from Costco at $489. It's my first iPad. I have a MacBook Air and an iPhone 6Plus, both with AppleCare. Should I worry about getting AppleCare for the iPad with Costco offering their 2 year coverage? Thanks in advance.
Hmmm....when I purchased my iPad Air 2 I thought I read the warranty board at customer service and I thought I read that it excluded Tablets from that.

I think what you may have seen on the board is the 90 day warranty.

Interesting that the iPad Prosumer is rumored to be released Nov 8th so they're either clearing out inventory of a soon to be discontinued item or they expect demand to drop.
Surface 3 4GB/128GB for $539 with edu discount is more useful.
...or these retailers have contracts with Apple to move "X" number of units per quarter and are falling behind their targets.
Staples had a sale on the Air 2 for 3 consecutive weeks (the last 3 weeks of the fiscal quarter)... started out at $50 off, $100, ending with $150.
Depending upon one's needs you are correct. As a tablet using it in touch mode, the Surface 3 falls a bit short but makes a terrific netbook.
According to Target's website, price match cannot be combined with the cartwheel discount.
