i just found tabbed chats in ichat. you right click the chat window and click move to tab!!!!!!

That's a feature of Chax, an add-on program to iChat that enables Tabs. Apple didn't build that functionality in.

I see it, but I think it may be caused by the Chax plugin I've got. It doesn't have the chax badge next to it like most of the chax menu items...but I don't recall seeing them in the right click menus.
