Oh, I appreciate good food, too, but.....photos of someone's Big Mac or some other atrocity doesn't strike me as being especially representative of their appreciation of good food, and most of the time the photo isn't great, either. Well-shot photos of food are actually an art. ....

I see your having a bad day... and don’t like our pics of food. It’s cool though, I’ll quit twisting your arm so you can see the various other posts conversation.

We all have our own appreciation of good food. Who are we to judge someone. We aren’t here to judge anyone’s photography skills.

What a lovely photo of a fireplace blazing warm fire on a chilly day or chilly evening!

My initial question remains the same and it is a more fundamental one than simply judging anyone's photography skills.....it is wondering why anyone posts photos of their lunch or dinner and why they would think anyone else would be interested in the first place....

Isn’t this thread about sharing images? I coulda swore it was. If it so happens I happen to take some pictures of my food and it looks good I’ll share it.

So.. is it NOT okay to love seeing pics of others food?

I guess I don’t understand why it’s a big enough deal to squabble over; if it’s that big of a deal keep scrolling? Worse than the Facebook police up in here...

I just WISH the biggest problems I had in life were to complain about seeing unrequested pics of food.

I just don’t understand why they have such a big problem with it. There’s pictures of people driving and taking pics but somehow food pics are just so gross.

I’m not trying to fight them over it. Just easy to just scroll past it and not make a big deal out of it.

Completely unedited. As a hobbyist photographer, I’m happy.

For social media this looks perfect, but if you look closely it missed the gap between the right arm and the T-shirt and the left side of the rail is out of focus.
I know this is me being overly critical, but when I notice these things it, I can’t “unsee” them. I wish there was an easy way to fix depth information in post processing. Does anyone know if there is a tool for that?

Also, for people that enjoy photography I recommend you read DPReview’s interview with the guys behind the Google Pixel camera. It’s really amazing how fast mobile photography is advancing and how much is being done with software only. I’d imagine Apple is working on similar stuff.
