Was comparing to pixel 3 night sight. Really happy with the native camera on the Xs Max.

Day time picture is pretty incredible. Almost as good as my Sony A6500. Used Max for the whole vacation instead of carrying around mirrorless dslr.

I have a question..I have the photos on my xsmax set to “optimized images” and not “store the originals”, so the quality of the phones on phone is lower but iCloud is still higher. Are all of these excellent photos posted here the “optimized” lower quality versions from the phone, or the high quality version stored? Lap, how do I retrieve the full version when I want to view it, say from the phone, for example. Thank you

When you tap on an image, the higher quality version gets downloaded from iCloud. When people upload pictures, the device automatically downloads the highest quality before uploading.
