OMG, why does Yahoo Messenger keep auto adjusting my mic?

I know theirs other programs out there, but the whole fam uses yahoo messenger for voice chat.

The problem is the mic level is so low, people can't hear me. When I jack up the mic settings, some how it auto adjusts down. WTF???

Anyone know how to fix this?
