i believe it's called "1337" also "1337 speak" "leet speak" and other variants. i know some people who call it n00bish as well, because they don't like people who use it.

OMG!!

I had my volume WAY up watching the Macworld 2004 (last years) Keynote made by Phil Schller in Quicktime when I clicked that link. The audio on that video is really low for some reason, so through my Surround stereo system at HIGH volume going, I almost screamed and hit the deck when the audio for that animation kicked in..

I needed that... :)
