Agreed! I passed on the initial iPad, because of really believing that Apple would incorporate a camera or camera's to catch up to the iphone4 & newest iPod Touch for Facetime across the board for all of its portable and non portable MAChines.

Micro sensors and their megapixels... What they really need is higher quality optics and not thinner sensor with higher megapixels, more noise and lousy optics. Give me 720p with LARGER low noise sensor and higher quality optics.

You could not be more wrong. This thinner it is, the more a mm makes a difference. 9mm to 7mm is over a 20% reduction. But 16mm to 14mm would be less of a difference (% wise)

Way to miss the entire point. Yes, a reduction of 1 mm comprises more of a % in thinner devices. But that only gives you something to brag about on paper.

Same here. I was also one of the delusional folks who fantasized about a 2048x1536 screen for the iPad 2. Just something well have to wait for

I love my iPad 2 though...totally changed the way I read news/lightly game.

You haven't seen the SGS2' s photos then. They blow away the iphones photos. Don't believe me? Look it up, the iphone4 is getting a lttle long in the tooth and it doesn't do anything better than the latest crop of Android phones.

Considering the iPhone 4 did come out about a year ago, that's pretty impressive that the competition is just now catching up

I think Apple will ask for a 720p one. Apple seems to hate 1080p IMO, including no Blu-ray.
