Probably would be 9 or 10 if 1) I didn't follow the rumor mill religiously, and 2) didn't already own (but sold) an iPad 2.

Still not sure if I want one yet, hrmmmm

10 because of the retina display and because I sold my iPad 2 and miss it terribly.

128GB would have made it a 8.
haptic feedback would have been 9.
an open filesystem with and usb port would have made it 9.5.
real stylus support would be 10.

all in all a good upgrade.
