On average how long does the battery on your iPhone 3G last?

If I use it like a phone - around two days.
If I use it normally, a little over a day.

I just dock it beside my bed when I get home so I don't really notice any issues with the battery.

I unplug my iPhone at 8 a.m. every day when I wake up. I browse at various times during the day, text quite a good bit (probably more than the average user), call quite often, and have push email and 3/4 brightness level. Mine makes it to about 11 p.m. before i get the little red "recharge" icons.

Sometimes I have to recharge before the day is over to use it for the rest of the evening. My backup batteries get used fairly often.

Same here, except for me it's ALWAYS rather than "sometimes" ...

My battery is down to 50-70% by the time I get to work (long train ride) so I always charge it during the day. My commute home drains it as well so if I plan to be out in the evening/night, I usually have to charge it a second time after I get home. The battery on this thing sucks.

making 2 to 3 phone calls a day, suffering the internet, twittering, and listening to internet radio. I get no more then 4 to 5 hours. I want more since it only last me half a day. The more battery life the better

haha. My company updated our exchange server software exactly the same time my phone went nuts and lost all battery goodness. I deleted the corporate email account and then reentered it and my phone is no longer overheating. I don't quite understand it completely, but if it's working now, it's working. that's all that matters.

Same happened to me... I was seeing that Usage and Standby was the same all the time, even if I put the phone in standby for several hours. My company patched our exchenge server last weekend and then my battery drain started. I dropped and recreated the email account and now Usage and Standby are different, as expected. Battery time is up to normal (24-36 hours, depending on usage)...
