Obviously Powerbook G5's

No, I think these are the merom updates to the Macbook pro. We'll see the 23" iMac at the upcomming media event.

They might just change the calendar from the 4th to the 5th for all we know.

One argument for the 5th is that Apple has Labor Day sales to help clear out
some of the existing inventories.

I might buy tomorrow if they would knock $100.00 off the MacBook I need.

Are the Labor day sales good? how much are the usual discounts? I'll definitely buy it if it's 100 bucks cheaper.

I HAVE to buy a MacBook tomorrow.

Update or not, I need to get one for my daughter.

She's waited long enough and the 7th is her birthday.
Wow what a nice birthday present!

I am more than pumped! As it approaches each rumoured refresh date time seems to enter a different dimension altogether :D

I have one daughter at VA Tech using her 12" iBook 1.33 GHz refurb.
She's delighted with it and she's very happy to have something easy to carry around.

This 1st Macbook 2.0 GHz goes to my oldest daughter for her birthday and just because......

My youngest is getting a MacBook too, but she's willing to hold out for an update.

She's a good kid and I think having her own machine will help her with her studies.

Really she's just getting one to keep her off of my G5 :D

Besides,, I'm not spending one red cent attempting to resuscitate that freekin

Maybe a little off topic, but do we know FOR SURE that there will be a media event on the 12th? No one reported it besides Mac OSX Rumors and AI, or did I miss something

I was there waiting for my G5 last year.

I mean going nuts for 10 months waiting and reading and waiting until
the G5 8DIMM 2.0's went on closeout.

It was really tough holding out to get a proven machine, but the wait was worth it. I'm really happy with my decision.

Take this time to contemplate your future, clean your room and organize your desk.
Burn CD's of EVERYTHING that matters on your old machine.
Call your mom, visit a friend, don't open your bills!, Go to the Apple Store and take an orientation class, play your guitar, write a song, take a looong Calgon bath, mow the lawn, weed the garden, just anything to stay away from that REFRESH Key!

Dahm, beat me to it, that's usually my line. But seriously, new iPods tomarrow.
