Believe they are system apps that require root to remove. On att and Verizon at least. T-Mobile still has unlocked bootloaders with easy root so much of the time att users can just buy T-Mobile phones, but I just dont want to have to play those games.
If you are on Verizon and want android the lockdown is worse than apple imo. At least Verizon apple users can jailbreak. If you want any semblence of freedom on a current android Verizon device I believe the m8 is it. And you better get your s off now before its too late. Att branded phones are really no better, but have mercy that gsm networks support byod
