Now, we all know the app store is filled with a bunch of junk. I deleted a bunch of games that I bought because of this reason. What is the one app that you would recommend? Anything besides games.

I'll start first and recommend Koi Pond.

1Password Pro. $6 but worth every penny if you own it on Mac. Also, Convert is a great app. Gorgeous but very practical interface.

Just one? Ahhhh..... I can't do it!

[app]Pocket Informant[/app] - Schedule and Task app, timebars make planning my month easy, and tasks show up at the appointed times in the same view. Syncs to online services.

[app]Instaviz[/app] - Mindmapper/flowchart. Seriously helps me think through problems and see how everything is connected.

[app]Outliner[/app] - Great for lists, projects, and brainstorming.

[app]Instapaper Pro[/app] - Save articles for later reference.

[app]Fluent News[/app] - News from multiple sources, can be read offline.

[app]Momo[/app] - The most functional note app I've tried yet.

Jaadu VNC. I use it daily. Kinda pricey, but the ease of set-up, amazing controls, and the fact that it works on dual monitors makes it worth it.

1$ for the app. Beautiful interface and password protection for all my bills, including a calander view and autopay w/ confirmation details.
1$ a year for push notifications at your choice of time and date before bill is due.

2$ for an app I use EVERY day.

NotifyMe. Best £2.39 i have spent on the app store to date. They update this app all the time, and since i bought it at launch they have added a snooze function, push badges and a web interface among other things, plus v1.4 has just been submitted to the app store.

    Well worth the money.

twitter.com/powerybase if you wanna find out more :)

My most used app is ooTunes, currently my favorite zillion-station radio app. There may be a better radio app, but I haven't tried many others because I like this one.

    Spotify, Spotify and Spotify.

Or if you're in the US (spotify-less), my next best recommendation would be Remember The Milk. IMO, the best task management/reminder application available.

Your Beejive runs slow? Are you on 3G or Edge? Which version of the iPhone do you have? My first suggestion would be to delete the app and then reinstall it. Mine runs very quickly. I'm on 3G, but it's in the DC area, so it's not even really 3G speeds.

    Sportacular

push notifications are great for when you are otherwise occupied and can't get away, the wealth of aggregation is incredible. If only it didn't crash on occasion. Most important is that I can keep it stored among my utilities and free up a the spot ESPN used to occupy on my home screen.

Units, if you have any need to convert any, well, units of measurement! It's free, but it's a very basic app without a fancy GUI at all. It does what it says very quickly, and allows you to easily scroll through several different conversions rapidly - making it my choice.

Though I have not tried it, Convert seems similar, but with a bit fancier a GUI and a few more features. It's not free, but it does seem quite reasonably priced, at least for the moment. Depending on your use, it looks as though it may be much nicer than Units, particularly if you need to do a number of calculations with conversions.
