Another thread which just amazes me how ignorant people are.

OP, you can glue them back on. I would use a semi-permanent glue that does not react negatively with metal or painted surfaces. Stuff like Gorilla Glue or JB Weld is not necessary and (JB) could actually affect the paint/aluminum. For issues like this, I have always used the:

DAP OneStik Pen
It is my electronics/small item preference as it has 2 applicators and 1 is very fine tipped (and doesn't clog). It's drying color is as clear as glue can be and unlike others, it does not change size from wet lay to dry (Gorilla Glue can expand as much as 5x which for electronic feet is not ideal).

Responses like these annoy me

The only thing wrong with his response is that he seems to have experience/knowledge about such things. ;D

GO TO an Apple Store and see the Genius.

Usually one of the drawers in the Genius counter at the Apple Stores has an assortment of feet for the various MacBook models.

Way back, I took a PowerBook in and they just stuck the new feet on, no questions about warranty. And I know others had no issue getting replacement feet for free. The only issue is if they don't have them in the store.

So, whether or not your MacBook is still under AppleCare, try the Genius service at the Apple Store.

Buy another Mac. What you waiting for? -
If you cannot figure out how to fix that, go out and get a new MBP
lol, lol, lol..,

this is happening to my early 2010 MBP. I assume just taking it into the apple store is still a valid option?

Go to the apple store. They have sheets of them there and they'll usually replace it for you.

Well, people that don't take common sense into account aren't so hot either.

Common sense would say bring it in to Applecare and they'll replace it for you with a stronger grade glue than you could probably buy. If you have AppleCare, you might as well use it.

Happened to my 2010 macbook pro..all 4 have come off at some point. Just glue them suckers back on and thats all.

Two of the feet on my '09 MBP came off. It was still under AppleCare, so I took it in. They replaced the entire bottom cover which was nice because it had a small dent in it.

Anyway, the new ones seem to be very well attached and exhibit no signs of any loosening after a year of use.

FYI...the design of the feet on the rMBP seems to be slightly different. They are recessed deeper into the casing...I can feel the metal edge of the care around them. Maybe it's to keep the feet from getting snagged on something and getting pulled loose.

FYI, I ended up taking mine in. It was not free. It was $10 per foot, not covered with applecare.

With my (pre-unibody) MacBook Pro, some of the rubber feet fell off. I didn't really even care, but the Genius Bar noticed the missing feet and replaced them, on the spot for free, when I was there to get other stuff taken care of.

Try bringing them in to the Genius Bar for replacement.

All four on my 2010 MacBook Pro have fallen off

Genius Bar said it would be $10 PER FOOT to replace. All that for a little piece of rubber.

On the other hand they gave me a bottom screw that I had lost and replaced my popping out "I" key for free out of warranty.

Apple COVERS THIS

Apple has a section for this and is covered under their warranty. just go stop by there. look it up online.

A document titled "MacBook Bottom Case Replacement Program" might help. It is dated 05/27/2011 and states, in part...
http://www.apple.com/support/macbook-bottomcase/

Apple has determined that under certain circumstances the rubber surface on some MacBooks may separate from the bottom case of the system. MacBooks shipped between October 2009 and April 2011 may experience this issue.

Apple will replace the bottom case of any affected MacBook, free of charge, that exhibits the issue.

I emailed the Apple CEO and they got a fix out:

Njoy ....

BTW: it costs around $22 with shipping, if ur macbookpro is not under apple care

Thanks for excellent post, who knew there were two parts? I had one fall off but didn't know this so I stuck it back on incorrectly (as most here have obviously done too). That inner plug must be inside my MBP somewhere!

Just contacted Apple Support this morning about the foot pads.

They said I have 2 options.
1. Bring to Apple store
2. DYI

I asked to be transferred to DIY department. They are having 4 OEM foot pads with replacement kit sent out to me (est. arrival 09/12/2012).

You don't have to quote this http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5236?viewlocale=en_US, but knowing that a DIY option is available may be useful on your call in case the rep you get is not knowledgeable of the situation.
