um...
this isn't about just gimmicky filming. have a look at the objects he's actually manipulating and balancing--from rocks to sticks of various shapes and sizes. and these are all found objects, meaning that he constructed all of these by improvising. really, just try to do something like this and you understand quickly how hard it is. perhaps the martial arts aspect was overdone, but the filming to me is only a footnote to what was actually created.
sheesh. its not a like its full of special effects and tricks folks. I think the actual work with objects here is amazing.
