I have a macbook air 11", 2014 model, 4GB RAM , 128GB SSD
The right USB port works well, with everything i put on it.
But the other , left one (near power port) doesn't work with some devices.

For example, it works with a Sandisk usb flash 32GB , but it doesn't work with 2 others (16 an 4 GB) .

It works with 2 external usb 3 disks (1TB and 2TB) but it doesn't with a simple Logitech mouse !

What can it be ?
I run the Apple Diagnostics utility but it didn't shoed anything.

Is it the logic board ?

Common problem.
You can bring it to :apple: and they'll run diagnostics. They'll probably not find anything and send you home.

I have seen inconsistencies with the USB ports on my 2013 11" MBA too. Can't really put my finger on it because it's intermittent and inconsistent. I use an Apple USB keyboard with a mouse connected, and sometimes for no apparent reason, they fail to be recognized on the left port. But it will work on the other port, or through a USB hub.

A restart usually clears the problem, although sometimes it takes two restarts. Then I can go for months with no problems. Never tried to diagnose it because it isn't chronic, but I have also seen similar posts here.
