Went for a change this year and preordered gold - usually go for space grey. Space grey is a bit boring for me now. Picked up my phone on launch day and fell in love with the gold, it’s absolutely stunning. Keeping it!

Originally had space grey but swapped out for midnight green after seeing green in green leather case

it's not try-before-you-buy.

just because you can doesn't mean you should.
Might want to tell that to Apple Store employees who've I've heard specifically tell people to return if they change mind on color. Even with case colors they have told me repeatedly "no worries- just come back within 14 days and you can change or refund"

Of course it's not good to purposefully 'abuse' the system. I'm sure this is all is factored into total cost (ie. silicone case costs $40), and I assume returned undamaged phones are used for refurbished replacements too.

Got Space Grey but when I went to the store to pick up and saw the green I loved it, so went back a few days later and exchanged it for the midnight green!

I got midnight green, regret it. Not changing though because of the hassle and my phones battery is freaking amazing

Makes you wonder if once there are enough phones in inventory of people who asked for exchanges due to color, size, etc, if those exchanges eventually become the phones others get as they exchange.

In other words, I exchange my green phone to a silver phone.

I get a silver phone someone else exchanged (refurbished).

My Green phone becomes a refurbished and will go to someone else looking to exchange.

This would save on costs.. i bet they do this.

and we wonder why prices are so high with casual swapping of devices due to no product failure but color....smh

just like costco had to stop their unlimited electronics policy due to abuse, do not be surprised if Apple brings back the restock fee like they used to have. Even if its only 5%. If I were them I would
