I have just bought an M4 Mac mini and it came with Sequoia installed. It is version 15.1.1. I have just installed Microsoft Office, and OneDrive is not working, reporting error -10001. Office is updated. I tried restarting the Mac, and updating the OS, but it still does not work. What should I do? Thanks.

Just to be clear is this:

1) You have installed Office and the OneDrive app, but your OneDrive files do not appear in
Finder, or

2) You have installed Office (but not the OneDrive app) and using Word etc. you can't get to files on your MS OneDrive?

I have scenario 2 (and I think you do, too). I can, in Word, open Word documents stored in OneDrive.

What version of Office? I am using the MS365 subscription latest version. Word is 16.91 (24111020).

The OneDrive app does not even open. Whenever I click on the OneDrive app, it immediately pops up this message:

"OneDrive Files On-Demand didn't start. Please restart your computer and try again. Error code: -10001"

And then the app closes and does not let me do anything. Of course I tried to restart the computer and everything, but it does not work.

OneDrive isn't working for me on new m4 mini. It installs fine. But in Finder only shows a spinning Loading. Files never appear in the Finder.

I tried the reset linked above without benefit.

That looks like a really old version of One Drive. Download the latest version and see if it starts working. You should get some file access prompts to approve so it can work properly.

Thanks. I love a trivial solution. I thought I installed it new from the App Store. But maybe I carried over OneDrive from my 2017 iMac to buy 2024 mini and tried to reinstall it without paying attention. I re-downloaded it from the App Store and it works.
