Digging into this presently. Looks like I can get a global version 1 of the Find X9 Pro from Wonda. If this will work on T-Mobile or Cricket, I will be happy.

Have been looking for cases similar to the Otterbox with a belt clip. No luck so far.

Had an email from OnePlus stating the OnePlus 15R is launching on the 17th December. Also launching then are the OnePlus Pad Go 2 and OnePlus Watch Lite.

Who's jumping in ? Thinking we should have it released soon
Go for it. I have mine about a week now and it's a superb phone - fast, smooth and an amazing battery life. The O Connect works great for transferring files to and from my Mac.

Cameras are decent unless you believe you are a professional photographer. Haven't used it much yet, but from playing about with it, it seems good enough for the vast majority of people.

I believe you are spot on with device

Hoping we can order on Monday. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Heat_Fan89 I'd get the OP simply because it's not a Samsung. 😂

I’m torn between the OP15 and the OPPO Find X9 Pro. I currently have both in hand.

The OP:
- is super smooth, smoother than the OPPO - this is due to the touch response chip.
- received recent update (301) two weeks before the OPPO
- the outdoor brightness is confusing, the specs state 1800nits but tests show it can get bright 3400nits in the photo app etc. some reviewers mention that it’s not as bright in direct sunlight - others mention it’s the exact same screen other than the 165hz in some games. Brightness in sunlight seems the same to me
- I prefer the Snap Dragon paired with the X85 modem and it supports more bands
- more case options in the UK
- the black is really nice

The OPPO:
- the cameras are better, no question. I’ve seen references mentioning that the cameras could get better with updates.
- the slight weight difference feels nicer
- I’ve seen quotes mention it has better eye protection
- the build quality is excellent.

Value:
OP cost me £700 with the free 46mm Ti watch
The OPPO is £929. So a £229 delta.

Equally, the Pixel 10 Pro XL can be purchased £699 but the poor specs put me off. I’ve read about reception issues as it uses a sub-par modem, battery and tensor G5 processor etc.

However, I don’t game on phones but I am a heavy user so the battery performance is important to me.

I think you can't go wrong either way and really the decision you have to make is the camera quality more important to you.

Probably not an issue outside of the U.S., but OP15 will perform better on cellular due to U.S. carrier certification. While the Oppo supports the same bands as OP, the OP is certified and will take advantage of carrier aggregation as with T-Mobile 5g UC. I didn't know this prior to buying Oppo. Don't think it impacts me / hasn't yet, but just an FYI for others on the fence.

Oppo for the cameras, no question.
However, you can skew the maths by selling the watch you get with the OnePlus and knock a fair chunk from the cost of it. In that case, the OnePlus is such a better deal that you'd be mad not to go for it. The watch is great, by the way, so I'm keeping mine - took it off the charger Monday at 8am, and it still had 15% battery this morning.

CEX UK will buy the watch for £132 and you'd probably get more elsewhere - that brings the difference to over £350.

Thanks. That's what I'm thinking. Selling the watch brings the OP15 down to maybe £550.

Do OnePlus phones offer enough core apps that you can do without Google and their Play Store?

Just pre-ordered, can always sell the X9 Pro for pretty much what I paid for it. Using a phone as a phone is always #1 for me. If there's no carrier aggregation support from Oppo within the next month, I'll make the swap. I don't think I'll miss the camera honestly. Missed out on the watch, selected the Buds add-on. Delivers 12/30 so I have some time to think about it. Despite the benefits of these Chinese brands I miss Samsung's OneUI. It is just so robust, complete, and very practical. In the end I may cancel the OP15 order and sell the Oppo, and get the S26U and call it a day. Go back to my usual practice of dual-wielding an iPhone and Galaxy for the best of both worlds.
