All good here still. Purchased the week of release. Still 100% battery capacity, but I only charge to 95%. Love it.

Got the 13 from BB for 298 a month back due to a massive pricing error from BB, still using it and probably gonna use it until OP either leaves the states or whatever, it's very good despite the bugs.. I prefer it over samsung by far.

So I’m really considering a move back to android. Last time it cost quite a bit plus the move back. This time I can get the 15 512gb for £100 effectively by trading in my 17 pro max. Next up is the tablet, last time I went for the tab 10 ultra but I’ve heard good things about the OnePlus Pad 3. Anyone used one? I’m currently using M4 iPad Pro will I miss much?
I sold my M4 iPad Pro and switched to a OnePlus Pad 3, other than it being immediately obvious you're no longer using an oled screen, I haven't missed the iPad at all.

What is the best One Plus device for an older lady who wants a big screen, good picture /video quality and something that is easy to use? My mum isn't the best with tech!

Time for my personal update. First, thank you to the folks that gave me further reassurance. I've been daily driving it for a few days now and honestly, no issues. I even got the Watch 3 to go with it. The only minor issues I had were Visual Voicemail with the Google Phone app. Mint and apparently most carriers don't integrate with the built-in feature. Solution for me was to use Google Voice to get back transcriptions. Don't even really need to have the app on my home screen since I can just wait for a voicemail notification to come in. I also initially had some delayed notification issues but they were user error and I simply had to commit to going through most of the notifications I needed very thoroughly and double check all of the options.

All in all, I'm quite pleased. I'd like to personally thank Tim Apple for nudging me back to android after a decade on iOS. If it weren't for his commitment to a crappy glass UI, I might still be fully in the ecosystem. Speaking of which, the only minor gripe is losing proximity unlock of my Mac with an Apple Watch. No biggie. O+ Connect is at least fantastic--notifications mirrored on my Mac and easy file transfers.

I did just stumble on a negative of the Oneplus 15. It doesn't have UWB (kind of a blending of bluetooth and NFC) that is in Samsungs, Pixels, and of course, iPhones. It's used for Digital Key 2 for proximity unlocking and starting of engines on supporting vehicles.

That was actually the reason why I sold my OPO 13, My other phones are the pixel Samsung fold and an iPhone and of course as you mentioned they all work.. iPhone was buggy after a software update but has since been working..Pixel and Fold work perfectly

Yesterday I was playing at the store with the Find X9 Pro. I saw an option in notification settings for turning the screen on when a notification arrives, just like what happens with the iPhones (I love this feature).

Does OnePlus have the same setting? Since OPPO is the parent company of OnePlus I believe.

If so, has anyone tried it and can comment how well it works?

There are several settings that I enabled on my 15r for notifications and I didn't notice the screen turn on. I tried placing a sub order with my local supermarket and the screen never came on even though I enabled in the notification settings for the screen to come on.

However the screen does turn on when receiving a phone call.

It doesn't do it in the same way the iPhone does. IF your screen is in AOD mode or off then you get a text in white font on the left hand side of the screen saying "1 new Gmail or 1 new Text". The whole screen doesn't illuminate unlike the iPhone.

I've reached acceptance phase with my OP15. I know it's not perfect, but no flagship is. I'm pretty sure the plus and minus categories are more favorably (and objectively) stacked for this phone than Samsung or Google's latest. By like, a lot. If the list price on an S26 Ultra weren't $1300 for ¾ of the RAM and ½ of the storage of a OnePlus 15, just maybe....Nah.

Big edit. Uh, with OnePlus seemingly pulling out of the U.S. and future support and updates a big question mark, I'm returning this phone that I otherwise love to Amazon and ordered a new Galaxy Ultra. Maybe I'll even end up liking it. Who knows. At the end of the day, I don't care what phone I have as long as I know for a fact I'm going to get updates.

I have the OnePlus 15, there's that option but I haven't used it Screenshot_2026-05-10-09-51-35-61_8142442b4340f41fb3bd44535ad8f76b.jpg
