I know, another “my battery drains too fast” thread… But I have to share my issue:

I have a 16 Pro, since launch. Battery health 90%. In the beginning my battery life was excellent, 7-8 hours on-screen use a day with plenty battery to spare. But basically since ios26 update, almost a year now, my battery life has been down the drain. Today I have 3 hours screen on, 2 hours screen off, with 19% left. It’s unbearable at this point. This was a day of light use, on days where I actively use my phone I am recharging at least once per day.

There is no single app that is the culprit. 16% drain is 20 minutes of Safari. 12 % drain is 24 minutes of LinkedIn. The rest is max 4% per app. So it’s a widespread issue.

I kept telling myself that it was just reindexing, that it’s a bug that will be fixed soon, etc. I’m one of those always telling people who complain after an update that they just have to wait. I’ve now waited for 10-11 months, and it’s still useless. I upgraded from a 13 Mini, and at this point the Mini had better battery…

I’m not even expecting any suggestions at this point. I guess ll I can do is wait for iOS 27, and hope for the best. I don’t want to go for public beta, because in my experience getting off the bet again meant re-install. On the other hand, that’s probably what I should do to try and fix this…

Sigh.
