Sometimes Apple isn't quite as condescending as they seem to be and you run into a nice bunch of people. Don't take their word for it though and always get it in writing.
Out of this I have a new CPU, new power board, new logic board and a new mag-safe charger. All done at zero cost, out of warranty and three and a half years old.
Sometimes you're not so bad Apple and you remind me of why I bought a Mac in the first place. Other times you make me stop and think 🙄 All of this was zeroed.
