Hey guys, just came across an issue and was wondering if i could get some help.

I ended up buying a 13" air from a friend and I want to restore the machine and start fresh.

I shut down the computer and pressed and held command+r.

After a while i got a starting recovery this may take a while screen"
than i was greeted with a spinning globe and a wifi simple. When i click the drop down menu, my wifi isn't listed. All i see is "centre" and its locked (maybe thats a neighbors or something). I know its not my wifi cause my 11" is right next to me and I'm able to surf.

Another weird issue is, when i restored my 11" i was greeted with the menu with the for options "reinstall, disk utility, etc etc" but for the 13" inch, I'm not even given that option. It goes straight to the globe. any ideas? :/

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Is the 13" 2010, and the 11" 2011?

Also, try booting up and connecting to your wifi, then rebooting with command+r.

You might also try temporarily removing the password from your wi-fi connection. Just don't forget to reset it when you are done.
