My daughter and I both wanted the new X and woke up at 3 am NYT to order it. Things were moving along smoothly and we were both about to place an order through the Apple Store and then got a message that only one order can be place at a time. So I went ahead and let my daughter's order go through and then started to order mine. Well no matter how many times I did it Apple wouldn't let the order process. The good news is that I was already in the queue to order from the AT&T site (AT&T was controlling the number of orders at one time I guess). I finally got into the AT&T site and was able to order and even though it was 3:30 am by that time, I still got a November 3rd delivery date! I think that is because we went into the AT&T queue right at 3 am. Anyway, we both got our SG 256 iPhone X orders in with the 11/3 delivery date. The Apple order is probably more reliable in terms of it getting delivered on time etc, but hopefully AT&T won't screw up my order.
