According to CNN Money, that seems to be the case...

Just CNN doing the usual race baiting.
Ridiculous.
But I'm a poor white woman.
I'm rich and I'm a black man that owns an iPhone 6. Theory debunked, lol!!
Uh, since when is $75k/yr "rich?"
Only RICH WHITE MEN buy iPhone 6's ??
72% of the population of the United States is white. The article states that 67% of buyers are white. Furthermore, men have always been more of an early adopter when it comes to technology. Lastly, Apple has always positioned their products as premium. Of course people with more money will buy Appleespecially early adopters. They always have. This article seems like a whole lot of nothing.
It is, by definition, "above average." (The average U.S. salary is about $50k.)
Totally fair to apply the word "rich" to that, then. You could obviously break it down more and give more levels, but if it's a simple yes/no, rich/not equation than anything over average clearly gets the 'rich' label.
You have intentionally distorted the article with your thread title.
It's pretty clearly saying that white men are early adopters, not that they are the only ones who buy iPhones. They even mention that the numbers are similar to when the 5S was new and those numbers evened out over time.
In other words, the article says exactly what a lot of posters here are saying. But they think they disagree with the article because you've made it sound like it's saying something it's not.
