asian people had to have gotten the most ip6's. Most of the lines were dominated by asians lol

It is, by definition, "above average." (The average U.S. salary is about $50k.)

Totally fair to apply the word "rich" to that, then.

I don't get it, so anybody that makes more than 50k is rich, anybody below is poor? You say that is "by definition", never heard of that definition before....

Now the story isn't exactly breaking news; it's like having an article saying that most XXL expensive jackets are bought by rich male...

Watse of an article, waste of a post...

Please don't perpetuate racial clickbait. You're no better than CNN for re-posting this garbage.

Codswallop.

I'm a poor white man. I clearly cannot afford the phone I just bought a couple weeks ago.

I'm white, male, and according to this article I'm rich ($75k+)...

...And yet I don't have an iPhone 6.

Oh lord CNN never change with your ignorant race baiting garbage.

"hey you all look at all these rich white people HATE THEM! HATE THEM PLEASE!"

I'm a college-educated black woman who has always been an early adopter. Been comfortable, been struggling, been average, never been rich.

Tech and books are what I spend my money on, whatever my income level.

Yes, men are more likely to be early adopters, but that's an overblown stereotype. Perpetuated by MR posters as well.

I guess "rich" is subjective and relative to the individual. There's millionaires who dont consider themselves "rich" because they're conscious of billionaires.

I read a couple years ago that if you made 75k you made more than 70% of the population.

Only 2% of the population makes more than 250k

More than 1/3 of the pop makes 34k or less

and 76% of the population has less than 1,000 saved.

So if you're making 75k it's safe to say you're in the minority. If they equally divided the population into thirds of poor, middle, or rich. 75k-80k would probably fall in that upper top third. 40-65/70 k would probably be middle and less than 40 is lower/poor or whatever you want to call it.

People calling themselves rich on this forum. Great laugh. Yet they never had a million. 75k a year is just average nothing rich about it. I'm black got a law degree and earn above the CNN standards yet I'm not calling myself rich.

So the Communist News Network has moved from income inequality to iphone inequality?

Apple is waging a war on women by offering iPhones that Appeal so much to men.

sounds like a CEO

Hmmm....I'm black, I have a college degree and I have a 128 GB iPhone 6+.

That's why you should take it up with the OP, because the CNN article doesn't say anything about "ONLY." In fact, the very first paragraph clearly states that the breakdown only applies to the early adoption period anyway and that the profile levels out over time.
