Hi, Is there anyway to automatically stop Time Machine running if not on your home network or connected to a VPN? I use a Time Capsule so it's only available when I'm at home, at the moment I get a error every hour about not been able to find the disk if I'm away.

A brief google finds LocationX & Marco polo that might be able to do something clever, however both are very old without updates. Anyone doing something similar? (applescript?)

i'm backing up on an external drive at home too
you can tell it not to show the error message and you are done, it works good for me, backs up only at home and doesnt bother me when away

That's what I do. It'll still warn you if you haven't backed up in 10 days but that's it.
