Only some random tunes will shuffle by albums/groupings

I don't know what's going on, and I don't know how to fix it. The old way doesn't work anymore. So does anyone know what's going on? Did Apple finally decide to get rid of all shuffle options besides by track? Or is there a way to fix this under apple music? I've seen threads where other people are continuing happily with both options on iTunes. Any ideas on what I can do?
