Hi, I'm not sure if this is in the right category but I ordered an iPhone and it's being delivered through OnTrac. The expected delivery date through Apple states that I will receive the package tomorrow. I've read horrible reviews about this shipping carrier and I talked to 3 Apple Specialists about my concern towards OnTrac.

My question is, have you had an Apple product delivered through OnTrac? What was your experience? I need reassurance since I saved up for this new phone and I don't want anything bad happening to it...

OnTrac delivers locally for Amazon here in the Phoenix area, and being an Amazon junkie, I've had a ton of experience with them. They're nothing short of consistently awful. I've watched them throw packages from the van onto a front porch without even getting out of the van. They do nothing to try to hide packages behind columns like UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc will do...they will leave a box right on the welcome mat in front of the front door for all to see. With that said, I've never actually had anything damaged. Just document the condition of the package when you receive it, and if there's any damage, report it right away. If the carrier damages it, it's on them, not you.

Same here in Los Angeles. With them it is either "Ding!!! It's here!" or "ummmmm ... let us look into that ..".
Either Great or Stinks - and it varies by delivery.
Best of luck and hope you have a good delivery day.

If you have issues, try to go through the shipper. Have yet to have a decent CS experience with OnTrac.

OnTrac handles some of the deliveries for Amazon in the Denver metro area as well. I agree with everything said above...they are horrendous. When the package does arrive (in one piece) it is usually at 8:00 at night, long after the FedEx and UPS drivers are finished with their routes and home for the night.

I have had items lost and damaged on numerous occasions and the tracking is horrible also.

Good luck with your delivery!

I just have horrible anxiety over big purchases like this iPhone. It's my first Apple product and I'm pretty excited! I do hope it's delivered the day it's said to be...I heard receiving packages days late!

I get that. Really I do. But talking to 3 different Apple reps isn't going to make your phone arrive at your place safer or faster. It will get there or it won't. If it doesn't, Apple has you covered.

Yeah I get that, I didn't choose to talk to three different Apple reps though. I talked to them via chat and each one transferred me to another. Anyway, my phone is expected to be delivered today. I hope all goes well.

Ahhh, I got it! I was so worried for nothing. It's such a beautiful phone. However, I can't set it up because my SIM card doesn't fit into the slot. :(

Glad you got your phone all in one piece! And that would suck big time! It's easy to get a new SIM to fit, or even to have one cut down to size for you if you have a fairly current one (and a useful tech shop close).
