iPhones are no longer unique, or special here in California.

Quite honestly they're just your average phone.

However when someone notices I'm carrying one of my Android phones, such as my Droid X, it gets a lot of attention.

That's cuz you're not showing the gyroscope gun range app with the G-scope. iPhone 4 only baby ;)

I'm very careful who I let mess with it. Not because I think they are careless but because **** happens.

If my expensive glass device is going to get dropped and broken, the most drama free way is for me to drop it myself.

It's a phone with a value of $600. If it was a Rolex I could understand, but if your friends are worth less than a phone to you then there are other more serious problems for you to attend to.

My husband has one and it seems sturdier than the iPhone with all its glass. :D

I gave my iP4 to my in-laws to check out, but I was watching them like a hauk. As for strangers, no way in hell am I going to let somebody I don't know mess with my phone.

I let anybody I know touch it if they want to, it's just a phone and almost everybody is careful with it. But now everybody I know who have iPhones have gotten an i4 so nobody asks to see it anymore.

Would that set off the moisture sensor in the phone?? :D

explain that at the Genius Bar!

I'm pretty sure those "geniuses" have heard everything. But it would be very awkward to tell that to them. Especially if the genius is a girl

"What's wrong with your iPhone?"

"Oh, my friend, she shoved it up somewhere and it got wet"

People still care about being able to see one?

This.

I've not had people all clamoring to look at mine since the 1st gen came out. Maybe there were a few with the 3G, too... now, it seems like damned near everyone already has one (that I know, anyway).

Ahahaha

I have a otterbox on it soni don't care for the most part but I gotta advertise the vibrate app!

Has it come to this?

Mine's naked and no one has had the audacity to ask to play with it.

Guy: Is that the iPhone 4?
Me: Yea. (walks away)

LOVE IT!! no one that i cant think of has asked me. i have a screen protector and case, and i would let someone i know hold it, but other than that, no stranger has asked me. i wouldnt want someone i dont know holding it, after all the crazy stories i hear about people stealing them...
